BUSINESS ETIQUETTE
Knowing when to shake a prospects hand and when to send a thank you note will probably not be a key to landing a big contract… but not know it has lost a few. In today's competitive business climate, setting yourself apart from the competition in every way can make the difference in closing a deal. Mastering "the little things" provides personnel with added confidence when they are exposed to a professional setting. Today's young salespeople have not been exposed to the business etiquette training that was prevalent 20+ years ago. Add to this, the new
21st century work environment. E-mail, voicemail, cellular phone use and business casual attire all bring with them new "etiquette rules" for the business world.
Objectives
After learning business etiquette guidelines, seeing them in action and rehearsing them in simulations, participants will have the ability to contribute to a more professional work environment and to further set themselves apart from their competition.
Outcomes
- Understanding of guidelines for proper correspondence with customers and fellow employees: e-mail, personal notes and business letters
- Knowledge of generally accepted etiquette for meals and social occasions
